About Our Founder

At the BCMR PRACTICE GROUP, LLC in Bowie, Maryland, we work doubly hard when it comes to correction of military records. We owe our professionalism and strong work ethics to our founder, Marcus A. Extensive Experience

Marcus has worn many hats. He was solely responsible for the CG's Personnel Service Center's input to the BCMR. His expertise stems from the fact that he has experience advocating for the government as well as individual applicant's interest. Unmatched Accomplishments

Over the course of his career, Mr. Mitchell has authored more than 1,200 CG JAG-level Advisory Opinions to DHS BCMR cases, representing government interest. For two years, he handled more than 500 CG Personnel Service Center policy inputs to the BCMR. He mastered his legal experience from his stint as a CG JAG Officer, and his Personnel/Administrative expertise as Chief, Human Resources & Administration.  He is currently barred in good standing at the following venues: Supreme Court of Louisiana; Coast Guard Court of Criminal Appeals; US Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces; US Court of Federal Claims; Supreme Court of the United States.
